A small marsupial of inland Australia's dry country. It is active at night and uses spinifex clumps for shelter.
Small oval pads are present on the soles of its hind feet.
It is active at night and shelters by day in places such as spinifex clumps. Field records associate it with spinifex growing on red sandy plains.
