This dasyure lives in New Guinea forests. A fringe of white hairs runs along the underside of its tail, and it is active at night, eating insects and other invertebrates.
Specimens examined in a 2019 revision had a fringe of white hairs along the underside of the tail.
It is nocturnal. In a New Guinea forest diet study, beetles were frequent in fecal and gut samples, and earthworms were also recorded.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
