This bat catches insects while flying near the coast. It occurs in a narrow coastal strip of northeastern Queensland.
Its fur ranges from gray to brown, with a slightly paler belly. The tail tip projects through the tail membrane, a useful identification feature.
At night it catches insects while flying just above the canopy. By day it roosts in places such as sea caves, mines, and rock fissures.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
