A large monkey found mainly in the northern Indian plains south of the Ganges and north of the Godavari.
Its body is mainly covered in gray fur, with a black face and ears.
It mainly eats plant foods such as leaves, shrubs, shoots, roots, fruit and seeds. It may also eat spider webs, termite mounds and insect larvae.
