The gray-shanked douc lives in forests of Vietnam's Central Highlands. It has a gray coat, white cheek fur, and an orange collar marking, and feeds on young leaves in trees.
Much of its body, head, and arms are finely speckled gray, with a paler underside. White cheek fur and a broad orange collar edged in black stand out.
By day it moves through trees by jumping and hanging from branches. Young leaves form most of its diet, and it sometimes hangs below a branch to reach leaves at the tips.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
