A langur from Indonesia’s Mentawai Islands; specimen records include Sipora and North and South Pagai.
The Sipora specimens examined by Brandon-Jones in 1993 (ZRC 4.333 and 4.334) had reddish ventral fur, with hair tips darkening toward the chest midline.
A 1996 study of 10 groups in North Pagai’s primary forest found that they used the upper forest strata mainly for feeding, travel, and rest. They ate mostly leaves, as well as fruit and other plant parts.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
