The Far Eastern Myotis has grayish- to dark-brown fur above and paler fur below. It is recorded across East Asian countries, and it uses caves and other sheltered sites as roosts.
The dorsal fur is grayish brown or dark brown, while the underside is paler. Fine hairs fringe the rear edge of the interfemoral membrane.
Its recorded prey includes moths, beetles, flies, caddisflies, and spiders. Roosts include natural caves, abandoned mines, unused tunnels, buildings, and the undersides of bridges.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
