This whiskered myotis is recorded from Borneo. A taxonomic revision reports records beside forest streams and a specimen collected at the exit of a cave in karst terrain.
The long dorsal fur has blackish-brown bases and dark-brown tips. Ventral hairs have similar dark bases and buffy-brown tips. The ears are long and narrow; the long tragus reaches about halfway along the ear and bends slightly forward.
The revision cites records alongside forest streams and a specimen collected as it emerged from a cave in karst terrain. It does not give detailed feeding or daily-activity information.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
