The Panama Flycatcher is a tyrant flycatcher found from southwestern Costa Rica to northern Venezuela. It uses semi-open scrub and woodland in lowlands and foothills.
It has a long, slim bill and a black iris. The upperparts are olive-gray, with a browner head; the throat and chest are gray, and the underparts are pale yellow. Pale wing-bars are hard to see, and the flight feathers have rufous edges.
It occurs in semi-open scrub, clearings, light woodland and coastal mangroves in lowlands and foothills, and prefers more open areas. Its call is a soft series of varied whistles.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
