The Tana River red colobus lives in riverine forest along the lower Tana River in eastern Kenya. It feeds in the morning and late afternoon and spends much of the day resting.
Its back is ruddy black, while the chest, head, and inner limbs have red and brown fur.
Observations at Tana River found feeding in the early morning and late afternoon, followed by inactivity in the middle of the day and late evening.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
