The White-crested Laughingthrush is a large babbler with a white crest and black facial mask. Flocks of about 6–12 birds search the forest floor for food.
It has a long white crest and broad black facial mask. The back is chestnut, the throat and upper breast are white, and the lower belly is olive-brown.
It stays in flocks throughout the year, pushing aside leaf litter with its bill as it searches the ground. The birds give loud, laughing calls together and move through the forest in a line.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
