The Patagonian dwarf bonneted bat is a small molossid recorded in Bolivian forest, savanna, and dryland habitats. It catches large insects on the wing and may roost in buildings or tree hollows.
Its back ranges from dark chocolate to cinnamon brown, with a paler underside. The broad ears are joined by a small membrane, and the upper incisors are hooked.
It catches large insects such as moths, beetles, and true bugs high in the air using echolocation. It may roost beneath roofs or in tree hollows.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
