The Hooded Warbler is a small bird of low vegetation in eastern North American forests. Breeding males have a black hood.
In breeding males, a black hood frames the yellow face. Females have a reduced or absent black area, and tail-flicking can help identify the species.
It searches for insects and spiders in the forest understory and migrates toward Central America after breeding.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
