This small flyrobin occurs on New Guinea and nearby islands, where it catches insects in lowland and hill forest.
The head and upperparts are dull yellowish green, with a pale-yellow eye-ring; the wings and tail are dark greenish brown, and the underparts are yellow. The sexes are similar.
It uses rainforest and monsoon forest, mostly in the middle and lower storeys, and catches insects by sallies, flycatching, gleaning, and hovering. It is also recorded rarely in teak plantations and sometimes joins mixed flocks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
