Rendall’s serotine is a small insect-eating bat that extends into savanna. In a West African rice-field study, it also took larger prey during the wet season.
The genus revision describes small-to-medium vesper bats and includes P. rendalli among species with translucent white wing membranes.
In lowland rice fields in Guinea-Bissau, it consumed larger ground-dwelling prey and opportunistically took Lepidoptera during wet-season peaks.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
