This bat was described from steep, dry coastal valleys on the western Andean slope of southwestern Peru. Its back is cinnamon or orange mixed with dark brown, and its belly is yellowish. Two localities are confirmed; Sogay is only a suspected photo record.
The back is cinnamon to orange mixed with dark brown. The belly is yellowish, and the dark wing membrane has pale-orange spots beside the forearms.
The paper describes it as inhabiting steep coastal valleys in southern Peru. Native vegetation in those valleys is mostly restricted to river edges.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
