This bat is recorded in several countries in central and western Africa. Its account describes dark brown fur and pale stripes along the sides of the body.
The dorsal and ventral fur is dark brown, with pale stripes along the flanks. The ears are angular and bicolored, and the tragus is crescent-shaped.
Capture records include degraded open-canopy swamp forest, undisturbed montane forest, and woodland beside a river. These are record localities, not a comparative test of habitat preference.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
