This bat is known from Panama’s Canal Zone. Its description study reports coat traits and roost records in disturbed habitat.
The dorsal fur ranges from reddish brown to dark chocolate brown. The underside is slightly paler, with a whitish area from the throat to mid-venter; the strength of the white varies among individuals.
The paper reports that recently captured bats, including the holotype, sheltered in abandoned houses in disturbed habitats of Panama’s Canal Zone.
