Chestnut-eared Laughingthrush is a laughingthrush recorded in montane forest in central Vietnam. Reports from Laos remain uncertain.
It is about 22 cm long. The grey forehead is streaked black, the ear-coverts are chestnut, and the upperparts are boldly barred. The tail has white tips and a broad black band near the end.
Type specimens were collected in upper montane evergreen forest undergrowth at 1,600–1,700 m; later records extended down to 1,200 m.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
