This bushshrike is documented in north-western Angola. Reports from Mount Cameroon are considered unconfirmed, so the range here stays with the confirmed Angolan records.
It has a yellow breast, dark-grey eyes, and white lores that extend behind and below the eyes.
It uses mid-altitude and montane forest.
