This small bat is recorded from Brazil's Caatinga scrublands and Cerrado. A pure-white underside and white bases covering much of the dorsal hairs help distinguish it from similar species.
The ventral fur is pure white, and the white bases extend over about two-thirds to four-fifths of dorsal hairs. Similar species have grayish or dirty-white undersides and shorter white bases.
Records include Caatinga scrublands and Cerrado savannas, including open or disturbed areas and sites with rocky outcrops. The authors suggest births coincide with the rainy season and that the species may be monoestrous.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
