The Whistling Fruit Dove is a fruit-eating pigeon found on Kadavu and nearby Ono Island in southern Fiji. Few breeding records have been published.
The paper reports that adult male plumage resembles that of females and juveniles.
At one nest observed inland on Kadavu in September 1977, a female was seen incubating. The paper could not determine how much the male participated.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
