The Stripe-breasted Creeper lives in Philippine forests. Its white throat and belly, brown back, and broadly white-streaked sides are useful field marks; it may perch on dead branches.
A medium-sized bird, it has a white throat and belly, brown upperparts, and darker wings and tail. A dark facial mask contrasts with a greyish crown; the sides are broadly streaked white.
It occurs in foothill and lower montane forest and is sometimes seen perched on dead branches.
