This fruit-eating bat occurs around Honduras. Honduran records include captures in several forest and waterside habitats, and Cecropia seeds have also been documented.
The uropatagium, the membrane between the hind legs, has a fringe of fur. Forearm and other proportions also help distinguish it from similar bats.
In Honduras, it has been captured by streams, beneath fig and mango trees, in pine forest, and in thorn scrub. Cecropia seeds were found in feces and fur.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
