This leaf-warbler breeds in Sichuan. Its yellow crown stripe, yellow eyebrow, and pale yellow rump are among the field marks described in a specialist field guide.
A yellow central crown stripe is bordered by dark olive-gray stripes. The yellow eyebrow extends behind the eye; the rump is pale yellow and the underparts are grayish white.
During the breeding season it occurs in montane forest in Sichuan at about 2,000–4,000 m.
