This sparrow lives in the Mexican highlands. It has a bold white eyebrow, a rusty-brown crown, and dark facial markings. It searches for food on the ground in dry bunchgrass and open pine woodland.
A white eyebrow contrasts with the dark facial mask; the crown is rusty brown and the underparts are pale gray.
The account places it in dry bunchgrass and open pine woodland and says it feeds on the ground.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
