A study of eastern Paraguayan specimens found that females tend to have larger wings; this bat feeds on fruit.
Among specimens from eastern Paraguay, females were larger than males in all 13 wing measurements, including the last bones of digits four and five.
It is reported to eat mainly figs and Cecropia fruits and likely roosts in caves or tree holes.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
