Micronycteris
- Saint Vincent Big-eared Bat Micronycteris (Micronycteris) buriri
This small bat is known only from Saint Vincent. It was captured mainly in forest and also in banana plantations. Sea caves on the island have been recorded as roosts, including one confirmed again during a later survey.
- Giovanni's Big-eared Bat Micronycteris (Micronycteris) giovanniae
This dark-furred, big-eared bat was described from a type locality in northwestern Ecuador. The 2007 paper limits its reported distribution to that locality and describes the specimen and its setting there.
- Matses Big-eared Bat Micronycteris (Micronycteris) matses
The Matses big-eared bat is a small South American bat with dark-brown fur and large ears. The original specimens came from northeastern Peru, where bats were found roosting by day in deep holes along gullies.
- Little Big-eared Bat Micronycteris (Micronycteris) megalotis
This small bat is recorded in western Ecuador. The reported fur is 8–10 mm long and body length is under 55 mm. A western Ecuador survey recorded it in coastal forests, disturbed areas, and plantations, and observed individuals roosting in a tree and a fallen log.
- Common Big-eared Bat Micronycteris (Micronycteris) microtis
This is a small insect-eating bat. A study in lowland moist forest on Barro Colorado Island, Panama, examined its diet of mostly large herbivorous insects and its return to a night roost with food remains.
