The Black-collared Starling is a starling marked by a black-and-white collar and yellow skin around the eyes. It forages on the ground and also occurs in parks and farmland.
Adults have a white head and throat, a black collar, and a dark brown back, with yellow bare skin around the eye. The sexes are alike; juveniles lack the black collar.
It is omnivorous and forages mainly on the ground, taking insects, seeds, and earthworms; it has also been observed feeding at flowers. It forms large evening roosts and is described as sedentary, with no known migration.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
