The Javan Pied Myna is a starling native to Java. It is considered extinct in the wild, but reintroduced birds have been observed at a protected site in East Java; a 2024 survey recorded 32 there.
The Javan population is described as lacking reddish colour at the base of the bill and having the most extensive deep-orange patch of bare skin around the eye.
A 2024 survey at the Prigen conservation-breeding facility reports that reintroduced birds often used grassland with scattered trees and foraged there.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
