The Island Imperial Pigeon is a large, pale gray pigeon of island forests with tall trees. It eats fruit and sometimes makes flights over the sea between islands.
The head, neck, and underparts are pale gray, and the eye-ring is pale. The head and breast can have a slight pink wash, while the undertail coverts are dark chestnut. The upperparts are glossy gray or green.
It eats fruit. It may make long flights over the sea between islands and is partly nomadic. Its nest is usually a large twig platform high in a tree, with a single egg.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
