The agile gracile opossum is a small marsupial with long digits and a grasping tail. It forages both in trees and on the ground.
Its back is reddish brown to dark gray and its underside white to gray. A thin dark ring surrounds each eye, and it has elongated digits and a long, hairy prehensile tail.
It is solitary and nocturnal, foraging in trees and on the ground. It mainly eats insects, adds fruit especially in the dry season, and disperses many seeds without damaging them.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
