This large-eared bat was described from northeastern Brazil. At its type locality, it was captured in a net over a seasonal stream in a valley.
Its back is golden brown, with darker hair bases and lighter tips. The large triangular ears and pale wings are translucent.
At the type locality in Bahia, several bats were captured in nets over a seasonal watercourse in a rocky valley. The valley vegetation was denser and more humid than the surrounding area.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
