This bat is recorded from Colombia’s Central Cordillera and the northern Andes of Ecuador. It has long, pale-brown dorsal fur, yellowish-brown underparts, and very long ears that are not joined by a membrane.
The back has long, silky light-brown fur, while the underside is yellowish brown. The very long ears are not connected by a band of skin.
The 10 northern-Andes localities documented in the paper span páramo, Andean montane forest, and human-altered highland areas. These are recorded habitat types, not evidence of a preference for one of them.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
