This babbler searches for food in forest undergrowth and near the ground. Its whitish breast has a scaly pattern, but the pattern varies and is not always a clear identification mark.
The underparts are whitish, and the breast's scaly markings vary in how clearly they show. The pattern alone may not identify a bird reliably.
In the thesis study, birds searched on the ground and on rotting logs for small invertebrates, mainly insects. They foraged in the low vegetation of the forest.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
