This fruit-eating bat has been recorded in the Atlantic Forest of southeastern Brazil. Its dorsal and ventral fur is subtly two-toned, and the forearm is densely furred.
The dorsal hairs have pale-brown bases and grayish dark-brown tips. Ventral hairs have pale bases and frosted-looking tips, and the forearm is densely furred.
Ten bats were caught in the park study: seven near ground level and three in nets around 8 m high. Net captures record where animals passed, not their full or usual height of activity.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
