This bat was described from Panama. It has a white underside and a narrow pale line linking the patches behind its ears to its chest.
The underside is white, and pale patches behind the ears connect by a thin line of pale hair to the white chest.
The species treatment identifies the type locality as tropical rainforest and reports that both type specimens were collected from an abandoned Azteca ant nest hanging in a tree.
