A small leaf warbler widespread in the Philippines and associated with montane rainforest. eBird treats it as a species separate from Mountain Leaf Warbler.
It has an unstriped dark crown, a dark eye-stripe, and a pale eyebrow. The wings may show a faint bar and the outer tail feathers are white; back and belly colors vary geographically.
It forages actively in the upper levels of forest and often joins mixed-species flocks.
