This leaf-warbler occurs on Makira Island in the Solomon Islands. The Makira population was formerly treated as a subspecies of the Island Leaf Warbler but is now recognized separately, including on the basis of its yellower belly.
The Makira population has olive upperparts and lemon-yellow underparts. A pale eyebrow and pale crown stripe are also described.
It inhabits forest and dense vegetation, gleaning insects and other small invertebrates from branches and leaves.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
