The Dusky-headed Parakeet is a green parrot with a grey head and white eye-ring. It uses forest edges and other partly open habitats in the western Amazon Basin.
It has a long, pointed tail and is mostly green, with yellower underparts. Its head is dusky grey, the eye-ring is white, and the bill is black.
It uses semi-open forest and forest edges. It typically nests in a tree cavity or in an arboreal termite nest, and the female incubates the eggs.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
