This small green parakeet lives in a restricted high-altitude range in central Colombia.
Adults are short-tailed green parakeets with red facial markings, including a red frontal mark.
It feeds on grass seeds on the ground, as well as herbs and flowers. It may be nomadic outside the breeding season and roost communally on cliffs.
