This titi monkey lives in forests of the western Amazon. By day it moves through the trees in small family groups and feeds mainly on fruit. Hand color varies.
Its body is covered in long, soft, dark reddish-brown fur, and its triangular face is pink. A pale band runs from below the ears to the throat; hands may be orange or creamy white.
It is active by day and spends most of its time in the lower canopy. Small groups include an adult male and female with offspring. Fruit is the main food; leaves and insects are also eaten when fruit is scarce.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
