This titi monkey was described from Loreto, Peru. The study reports observations in several Amazonian forest types, including sandy-soil forest and flooded forest.
Its body is deep reddish brown, with a more intensely reddish crown. White hairs edge the face, and the pale throat patch stops short of the sides of the neck, giving it a bow-tie shape.
The original description reports observations in the upper strata of sandy-soil dwarf forest, gallery forest, and seasonally flooded forest. Recorded foods included fruit, flowers, buds, and insects.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
