The Halcyon Horseshoe Bat was recorded in lowland forest in southeastern Nigeria, where a survey captured many individuals at two sites.
The noseleaf has a pointed, roughly triangular lancet with straight or slightly concave sides. Males have yellow armpit tufts.
At two lowland-forest sites in Nigeria—Afi Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary and Cross River National Park—the survey captured at least 66 individuals in harp traps.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
