A small, vocal babbler of lowland forests in Southeast Asia, it forages in small groups from near the ground to the canopy.
It has brown upperparts, richer rufous-brown on the crown, tail, and wings, pale yellow underparts, and fine black streaks from the chin down the breast.
It feeds mainly on insects and sometimes fruit. Groups probe bark, trapped leaf litter, and epiphytes while foraging from near the ground into trees.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
