The Long-billed Murrelet is an alcid that breeds along the Siberian coast and also spends time at sea. It is recorded only rarely as a vagrant in North America.
Compared with the Marbled Murrelet, its bill is longer and its throat is paler in breeding plumage. In winter plumage, pale oval spots line the black nape, and there is no white collar around the neck.
It breeds along the Siberian coast and spends time in the open ocean outside the breeding period.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
