This white-eye is known from Sudest (Tagula) Island in Papua New Guinea. It has been recorded in the canopy of hill rainforest.
Its white throat and breast distinguish it in the paper from the olive-green Louisiade White-eye, which has a yellowish-green breast.
It occurs in the hill rainforest of Sudest Island, where it has been recorded moving through the canopy. The paper reports observations and photographs from that island.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
