The one-striped opossum is a small marsupial marked by a narrow line on its back. Only two existing specimens are known, so its life in the wild remains poorly understood.
A narrow dark-brown stripe runs from the shoulders to the base of the tail on the specimens. Their short fur is reddish brown, with orange tones along the sides and underside.
The paper reports no field observations of behavior, diet, or reproduction. Because so few specimens are known, much about its life remains unknown.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
