Microgale jobihely is a small tenrec recorded in Madagascar's humid forests. The 2018 HMW account lists separated areas in the northwest and east and notes morphological differences between the two populations.
The dorsal fur is dense and soft, with black mixed with dark reddish brown, or reddish-brown hairs with black tips. The ventral fur is paler and has distinctly gray bases.
Its habitat is dense, humid forest, from relatively undisturbed to slightly disturbed sites. HMW describes it as presumably terrestrial.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
