This fruit-eating bat includes a population in Mexico's mountains. It eats fruit and carries seeds to other parts of the forest.
Its dorsal fur is long, soft, and dark brown to nearly black; the underside is lighter. White facial stripes are faint or absent.
It eats soft fruits, including wild figs, and flies between the canopy and lower vegetation, carrying seeds away from parent plants.
An extinction-risk assessment has not been added yet.
